Police reports for Tredyffrin Township for the week of Aug. 21st – Aug. 27th.
8/22/13 at 1430 hours a female victim reported that she was walking north on the rear paved path in Wilson Park in the vicinity of the pond. An unknown male standing near a wooded area bordering the path near the east boundary of the park which borders Duportail Village made a lewd gesture and alarming comments to the female victim. The female left the area without being followed or assaulted by the male. The victim described the male as being in his mid 20’s, 5’8”, medium build, Hispanic looking with black frizzy hair, wearing a white A style, tank shirt with no markings and Khaki pants. 8/21/13 at 1518 hours – 500 block of Winston Way in Berwyn. Sometime overnight, unknown actor(s) threw beer bottles into the homeowner’s swimming pool, resulting in broken glass in the pool.
8/22/13 at 1110 hours – Route 202. During a routine traffic stop, Jonathan Warmijak, 21, of Coatesville PA was charged with Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana and related Paraphernalia.
8/23/13 at 1836 hours – Chico’s Store in Paoli. Kathryn Himelreich, 44, was charged with Retail Theft after she was observed taking clothing out of the store that wasn’t paid for. The total amount for the clothing was $158.00.
8/25/13 at 0251 hours – Upper Gulph Road in Wayne. Chloe Morris, 20, of Wayne PA was charged with Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana during a routine traffic stop.
8/26/13 at 1334 hours – Gateway Shopping Center. Jose Gonzales, 36, of King of Prussia PA was cited for Public Drunkenness after he was contacted by police.
8/26/13 at 1801 hours – 1900 block of Wellsprings Lane in Malvern. The victim reported that several pieces of silver tableware were missing from their home. The estimated value was between $17,000 and $20,000. The case is under investigation.
8/27/13 at 1155 hours – Upper Gulph Road in Wayne. Police cited Craig Deans, 61, of Wayne PA for Public Drunkenness when he was observed to be highly intoxicated.
8/27/13 at 1517 hours – 100 block of Daylesford Blvd in Berwyn. The victim reported that they discovered more than $8,000 missing from a safe in their home. The case is under investigation.
8/27/13 at 1731 hours – PECO Substation in Berwyn. An employee discovered that the fence had been cut, leaving a hole in the fence. It is unknown
Another scam is circulating from an unknown person stating they are from another country and have inherited 95 million dollars. They are interested in investing that money in the United States. They do not ask for money or account information up front, but will when the recipient meets them in Spain, South Africa or Uganda.
